How often do you have auctions?
Every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. and occasionally on Saturdays. Check our Auction Calendar for information.
Who can bid?
EVERYONE! Gallery Auctions caters to the trade (dealers, decorators) but the public is welcome to pick up a bidder’s paddle.
When can I preview?
Gallery Auctions has an open-door policy. Visit Wednesday through Friday, look around, and see what’s incoming. The best days to preview are Thursday and Friday from 9am to 4pm as most of the items are set up for sale at this time. The later in the week you visit, the more you see. We open for preview at 8am on auction days and we also encourage bidders to walk freely throughout the merchandise for the duration of the auction. Occasionally we have a weekend preview for a few hours. It’s best to check our website or watch our facebook page at www.facebook.com/galleryauctions for announcements.
How can I pay?
Payment in full is expected the day of the auction when you bid in person. The auction payment will include the bid amount, a buyer’s premium and state sales tax on the entire purchase unless you provide proof of exemption from sales tax. When bidding in person we accept Cash, American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa & checks with proper identification.
When bidding thru liveauctioneers the method of payment you placed on file with liveauctioneers ( a credit card or bank account) will be charged immediately after the auction . You will receive an invoice after the auction from noreply@liveauctioneers.com listing all items you won as well as a total including buyers premium & sales tax based on your shipping address. Online out of state bidders must pay via live.payments using the link on the invoice unless picking up in person.
What about buyers premium & sales tax?
Our in house buyers premium is 18% (we offer a 2% discount to in house bidders that pay on auction day payment via cash or check making the buyers premium only 16% one of the lowest in the industry.) Sales tax is applied to the hammer price & buyers premium on all purchases.
When bidding online via liveauctioneers your buyers premium will be 23% and sales tax will be charged based on the shipping address on your invoice. If you come in and pay a liveauctioneers invoice directly with us the buyers premium is still 23% and you will be charged local sales tax of 8.25%.
How long can I leave my merchandise?
The best idea is to take your new treasures the day of your purchase. If you cannot take all your items that day, all purchases need to be picked up within ten days. If you need longer, the storage fee is generally $10 per lot per day, please make arrangements with the office staff.

Do you accept consignments?
We accept quality consignments with approval. You may send photos and descriptions of your items by e-mail to email@galleryauctions.com. We sell consignments with no minimums and no reserves. Please email for further information, including commission rates.

THE WORLD! Over many years we have developed a network of shippers around the world. Our incredible variety of merchandise comes from England, Belgium, Argentina, France, Egypt, Indonesia as well as Individual consignments and local estates.
