How often do you have auctions?

Every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. and occasionally on Saturdays. Check our Auction Calendar for information.

Who can bid?

Everyone! Gallery Auctions caters to the trade (dealers, decorators) but the public is welcome to pick up a bidder's paddle.

When can I preview?

As all sales are final and all items are sold as-is, we know that adequate previewing is important. We are open Tuesday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The best time to preview our Monday auctions is at 8:00 a.m. the day of the auction, although you are welcome to check out the merchandise the Friday before. We are sometimes here on the weekend for preview, please call to check before you come. We also encourage all bidders to walk freely throughout the merchandise for the duration of the auction.

How can I pay?

Payment in full is expected the day of the auction. The auction payment will include the bid amount, a buyer’s premium of 15% (18% on internet bids) and state sales tax on the entire purchase unless you provide proof of exemption from sales tax.  We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa, checks with proper identification and cash.

How long can I leave my merchandise?

The best idea is to take your new treasures the day of your purchase. If you cannot take all of your items that day, all purchases need to be picked up within three working days. If you need longer, please make arrangements with the auction staff.

Do you have delivery staff?

While Gallery Auctions does not provide delivery services, we can provide a list of delivery companies who frequently help our customers. Click here to see a list of delivery companies.

Do you accept consignments?

We accept quality consignments. You may call us or send photos and descriptions of your items by e-mail to email@galleryauctions.com.  We sell consignments with no minimums and no reserves. Please call for further information, including commission rates.

Where do you get your merchandise?

The world! Our variety of merchandise comes from local estates, trade and individual consignments, and from England, Belgium, Argentina, France, and more. We have longstanding relationships with shippers around the world.

Are you ready to jump in and bid?

Before you do, keep these points in mind:

You pay the day of the auction.At an auction, there is a no-return policy and you pay before you leave. Of course, if a first-timer makes a mistake, we’ll work with him.

Preview the merchandise. Gallery Auctions has an open-door policy. People can visit Monday through Friday, look around, and see what’s incoming and outgoing.

Look over the items carefully because they are sold for better or worse, “as is, where is”.

Be ready to hold up your hand if you want to participate in the bidding. There is about a minute of quick bidding, from the time that auctioning an item begins to the time that it’s sold. Keep in mind the value of the item and your limit, but don’t lose it for the price of a couple of pizzas!

And when you’re the high-bidder? Gallery Auctions is just like any store. You can pay with cash, check or credit card.
